The change in temperature might be noticeable before the boy himself and the wall of ice spiking up from the ocean floor. It's not quite big enough to breach the surface, but inside of it is a very, very angry eel.

Even with being more on the lookout, he's still a kid who's maybe a little excited to do some exploring of a fantastical shipwreck. Sue him, he never really got the chance to play pretend. There is something about the wrecks that's bothering him, though.]
