In the broader sense... This world's magic got destabilized, severely, at some point, causing places to take on unusual properties and gain terrifying monsters. LOTS of them.
However, the technology now exists to stabilize the most affected areas - known as Rifts. So we go in to do that. Slowly, we're stopping all of this and, hopefully, finding our way back to our homes.
Me, on the other hand... Where do I even start? Well, the big one is, I'm a Succubus, and normally, that'd mean I'm one of the bad guys. Always Chaotic Evil species, specialized in charm and seduction to manipulate mortals to darkness. I'm playing nice here for obvious personal-safety reasons... And because I want to actually help. I want to return home too, and that's more important than playing to my type.
