Unarmed combat is a little more difficult to do effectively, especially when your opponent has large teeth and rough skin. Areas like the one we're in now are dangerous places.

Though, I suppose it would be fine if you stayed out of them once we get you back to the Station. You can find some interesting things exploring Fissures like this, but it's far from mandatory.
