People hated them because of me. If I hadn't been born or if I had looked enough like one of them to pretend to be legitimate, I think their lives would have been changed for the better.

They do care. They love me. But I know I stress them out sometimes. I'm not good at things full humans are, like making friends or telling jokes or even basic things like smiling. They're always worried about me and I can't act human enough to make that go away.
