Let's say "unusual," at least based on my world's demographics? It's very striking, though.

They say that people used to have darker hair, but that background nuclear radiation has caused a few harmless mutations even in the people who didn't get radiation sickness.

Interesting! Humanity does find a way to adapt, even when that adaptation is totally unnecessary, don't we? But yes, back where I come from most people with your complexion have very dark hair.
