Izunia is probably the one person here who Jetshard both trusts and genuinely views as a peer? There's several other people who have her trust but who she's kind of filed away as "not quite socially mature and needs a role model as much as they need a friend," and there's several others that she views as Actual Adults but who she isn't sure whether she can, or wants to, trust them. Izunia's good company, erudite, and honestly Jetshard appreciates having someone around who seems to enjoy hearing her talk about troll stuff? Being the only troll here makes her feel kind of vulnerable so she mostly tries not to play up the differences, but casually acknowledging that some of the things that seem to be common ground for most of the humans are deeply alien to her helps her feel grounded.

Also, like, if he was going to hurt her he would have had every opportunity to when they first met on the beach. And Jetshard doesn't like to assume that people are going to attack her, but still, that's a useful datum.

She does worry about him? Both with the heavy backstory stuff he just dropped on her, and with the general fatigue thing he seems to have going on. But she kind of figures that if he needs help he's capable of asking for it, so she's trying not to lean into her meddling tendencies too much.

So the thing about being peers definitely goes both ways - there's not a lot of others around that Izunia really thinks of as adults, and of those the only other one he's on any particular kind of positive terms with is Stone. (And those are mostly napping terms.)

He's a bit curious about her politics, but mostly just genuinely curious about her world, in general. He's seen plenty of different human social structures over the ages, but aliens? [i just think they're neat.gif] And he doesn't mind at all explaining human concepts in turn - Izunia's very much of the belief that ignorance is a fixable problem and knowledge generally improves things when it's shared around.

He is sorry about dropping the heavy backstory shit seemingly out of nowhere, :< it just kind of tends to pour out once he gets started. Izunia Lucis Caelum nominated for most in need of a moirail (but also most in need of an explanation of what a moirail is).

Prompto feels safer around Jetshard than he does around anyone in the station but Noct. She's just that good at projecting experience, confidence in her abilities, and a generally caring and stable attitude--you know how it is with green trolls. He was kidding about the mom friend thing when it came up, but she genuinely provides him some level of... maybe not parental, but this-person-is-older-than-you-and-knows-better-and-won't-let-bad-things-happen-to-you-and-doesn't-want-anything-from-you security that's he's been missing for the entirety of his life. It's not a thing he's consciously aware of this early, but he really appreciates it and appreciates her.

Jetshard's pretty darn fond of Prompto. He's a Good Kid^TM and honestly it'd be hard not to reciprocate a little when someone's as consistently happy to see her as he is. She worries sometimes about his lack of impulse control, but less than she did at first? Like she still will be entirely unsurprised if he does manage to set off some major crisis but she's developed some faith in his ability to not just die constantly by now. She is really happy for him that Noct is here, especially since he very much strikes her as someone who needs a moirail to fuss over.

Sorry about your weird troll aunt friend projecting her alien social structures on your relationships, Prompto.

they don't have a super strong connection yet, but I feel like they could at least be odd-ones-out friends? also I really like her as a character, personally, so I kind of WANT to have them be odd-ones-out friends XD
