Morgana is, perhaps, the most powerful influence when it comes to Shido's progress. His impassioned speeches and words are delivered in such a way that are very insistent, and yet they're incredibly supportive and encouraging, really pushing Shido to be better in a way that... only a very few people have ever done for him.

As such, he's grown very fond of Morgana... and sees him as his personal guide. He appreciates him... so damn much? He doesn't deserve him in the least bit, but god is he grateful to have gotten to know him. ... or be lectured by him, whichever.
