Lin is doin u a concern. She has a mental image of Pidonus's home and it's not a pleasant one. Slavery and abuse are both unfortunate facts of life in the wastelands, so while she's not sure EXACTLY what has happened to Pidonus, she's assuming the worst. If Pidonus does the whole brainwashed thing around Lin again, she is going to physically restrain her until they can talk it out.

Hotness rating: 5/10. Not her type

This is a very accurate understanding of Pidonus' home, sadly. Worse, trying to force her to talk isn't likely to work out too well... She's going to need help breaking those chains first.

Astolfo loves hanging out with Pidonus. She's great fun and he might enjoy the fact he scares her a little bit too much. Dragging her into his shenanigans is becoming one of his favourite pastimes.

He is, also, of course, kind of Real Concerned about her past & her world. He's resolving to try and help her out as much as he possibly can before she has to go back there- or hopefully find a way to make sure she doesn't have to.

Aaand here's another on Team Concerned About Pidonus - Jetshard doesn't have as many pieces of the puzzle as some people, but there's obviously Something Fucky with Pidonus's attitudes and beliefs and Jetshard's seen enough people get messed with by highblood mind/emotion control powers (and fallen victim to that kind of manipulation a few times herself, though on a fairly mild scale) to have suspicions that her Queen has done something similar.

She also kind of regrets her reaction to Pidonus's initial network post about her powers; it was very much a knee-jerk reaction based on, again, having been casually mind controlled for convenience a few times in the past, but she's come to the conclusion that Pidonus genuinely does not have a working paradigm of "when using my powers is appropriate."

This would mostly be because her previous paradigm was "As much as needed to fulfill her Queen's orders", followed by a shift to "Maybe like two situations maybe, one of which has actually come up so far?" in the objective of not getting beaten up or killed by everyone here.

She expected more reactions like Jetshard's, actually... And has the sense Jetshard has good reason to have reacted as she did. She obviously doesn't know the SPECIFIC history, but... There's hints, and they're strong ones.

I'm hoping to set up a plot where people get into Pidonus' mind to properly break her of the Queen's control at some point soon enough here.

Does Goro qualify as the founder of the Concerned for Pidonus Club? He thinks he has a pretty solid idea of what's going on here (in part due to having...experience with mental manipulation) and hates it, along with the fact that he can't get to her Queen to lay a much deserved beatdown. He has, uh...strong feelings about people manipulating others' minds, and thinks it's inexcusable when the target isn't a danger to themselves or others.

He really hopes to be able to help her break free of her Queen's control and develop her own belief system some day, hopefully some day relatively soon. Unfortunately, he's also aware that she's likely to resist as long as she's still being controlled, and doesn't want to risk her finding out about his plans and fighting back...

Yeah, it's basically gonna be a matter of getting the jump on her to get into her mindspace...

Fortunately, his method is kind of tailored to acting without the target's suspicion...but it relies on being able to get to a location they view in a distorted way. At least, that's how it normally works...he honestly has no clue what happens if you take someone to a completely different world from the location of their Palace, considering presumably their Shadow wouldn't be left behind.

I feel like it'd be a location Pidonus viewed as precious - like inside that little secure space of her ring, the closest she can get to home right now. Except, you know, it's nice and not like her home whatsoever.
