He loves his idiot.No, seriously, Kurama doesn't actually think Akira is an idiot. He knows where a lot of the stupid shit Akira does springs from and... Emotions, fears, and trauma can make you act dumb no matter how smart you really are.
He does very much love Akira with a slightly scary level of devotion. As much as he is trying to tear down his willingness to sacrifice his own wellbeing for the people he loves, there is still...not a lot he wouldn't do for Akira. Not a lot he wouldn't want to do for him.
Which is part of why it hurts so badly whenever Akira closes up and tries to deal with his problems alone. He does believe that it isn't a lack of trust, but, well, he's never exactly been one to sit around and watch.
If they're supposed to get married eventually, maybe they should be taking 'for better or for worse' to heart here?
