Hello, and welcome to the OOC Intro for Phantasmal Rift! This post also serves as a CR meme and overall state-of-the-game update!

IC Intro will go up on Monday, at the conclusion of the dungeon - but if you'd like, you can go ahead and jump into the tail end of the dungeon log now! You're welcome to top your own top levels using whatever prompts you like, and if nothing works, we'll be back at base soon!

(And yes, you get loot for any further comments you leave on the dungeon log, up to a max of five, same as in-game players. Any loot earned thusly will be appended to the sign-ups under a header with your character's journal name.)

Due to the delay in app responses, loot for new arrivals will be rolled including Monday's activity. Sorry about the mess!

STATE OF THE GAME

Goes Bump: The next dungeon will be Silvereagle Manor - an entirely appropriate dungeon for Halloween, set in an abandoned castle manor. Or perhaps it's not as abandoned as you think... As long promised, this is our species swap dungeon, so feel free to plot ahead what you want your characters to become in the dark of the night!

8/20-22: Sunny and bright; warm but not baking.
8/23-25: Hot, but with low humidity and a constant breeze.
8/26-28: Warm, higher humidity, sunny with patch clouds.
8/29-9/3: Sunny, but with stormy late afternoons and evenings prone to sudden intense rainfalls. The clouds typically clear up again about midnight.
9/4-5: Sunny, bright and clear.
9/6: Overcast and muggy all day.
9/7-9: Mostly clear, with patchy clouds.
9/10-11: HEATWAVE, as summer breathes its last upon the station. Not as hot as previous heat waves, but significantly more humid. Still patchy clouds.
9/12: Strong winds, clear.
9/13-17: Overcast with occasional sunbreaks; weather steadily cooling.
9/18-19: Sunny with occasional clouds; moderate wind.
9/20: Absolutely dead air; humid, overcast, and not even the station's typical lowkey ocean breeze unless you're right down on the beach.
9/21-22: Rain, mostly drizzling, occasionally intense. Dark, heavy clouds.
9/23: Rain continues, but with more intensity; thunder cracks and lightning visible overnight.
9/24-28: Largely clear with stray clouds; breezy, cool.

What's their deal?: Yuuri Wakasa is a gentle but terrifying nee-san, who was the Team Mom of a cast of adorable moe girls, from an adorable moe slice of life story that got violently derailed when the zombie apocalypse happened. After a year or so of surviving this, all four of them got kidnapped to take part in an interdimensional murdergame TV show. As you can probably guess, that sucked too. Yuuri got adopted by a Final Fantasy endboss, survived the murdergame, died, got engaged and was eventually reunited with her canonmates, including her dead little sister and moved to P5 era Japan (yes, in that order). And then she got interdimensionally kidnapped again, so like... bummer for you, huh, Rii-san?

Despite the amount of Abject Bullshit she's been through, Yuuri's marginally more well-adjusted and leagues more emotionally healthy than she was in canon. She's a fussy, powerful team mom, the most terrifying little lady out of her entire murder family and she is very unhappy to find herself kidnapped from her slice of life happy end epilogue and dumped into another interdimensional kidnapping situation.
Plotting: Iiiii actually do not have a lot in mind for her this month, actually! It's her 21st birthday on September 25th so I imagine there will be some degree of shenaniganry around then but other than that, I have ~no plans~. I'm open to pretty much any kind of CR you want to throw at me but all I ask if that stuff is gonna get really viciously negative that you let me know beforehand!

What's their deal?: A Sword Lesbian and her Lesbian Sword. Erina is your local Light Novel Superpowered Teenager. She's a type of human known as a "Synchronic" which in short gives her the ability to bond ('Sync') with a sentient weapon known as a Key. Erina's key is a zweihander called, uh, Zwei, who comes as a combo platter with her Synchronic. Erina is a horrible rude little goblin who memes on everyone she meets to the fullest extent of her abilities. I sincerely apologize for her in advance. Gay for two things: haunted swords and women.
Plotting: Again: No real plans! Mostly I want to see how the end of the dungeon shakes out for her but other than that, I'm free as a bird. Erina's pretty rude and crabby so I'm definitely open to negative CR if that's how things shake out! She's also here to flirt with cute girls, but that should go without saying.

You know I hadn't thought about it but it DOES seem to be something of a JJBA tradition for Jojo to get in a fight with whoever is going to become his bff...

Consider this:

- they get in a fight over ~~some kind of misunderstanding~~ Erina insulting Josuke's hair
- Erina can’t see stands but Zwei can and tells her how to dodge and shit
- Josuke is all “how the fuck is she doing that?”
- Izunia or someone shows up and grounds them both
- apologies and friendship follow from there
