Hello, and welcome to the fourth OOC Intro for Phantasmal Rift! This post also serves as a CR meme and overall state-of-the-game update!
IC Intro will go up on Monday, at the conclusion of the dungeon - but if you'd like, you can go ahead and jump into the tail end of the
dungeon log now! There's
scary boss fight going on in the final area (which is also now on the
info page, for easy access, though minus all that terrible boss info), and you're also welcome to top your own top levels using whatever prompts you like!
(And yes, you get loo for any further comments you leave on the dungeon log, up to a max of five, same as in-game players. Any loot earned thusly will be appended to the sign-ups under a header with your character's journal name.)
STATE OF THE GAMETHERE HE GOES AGAIN aka calendar update - Based upon mod discussion, the game is being updated to a six week cycle (instead of the current five weeks)! This is primarily to allow players a chance to run their own plots during the month or so of downtime between Fissure logs. IC dates have also been added up to the next dungeon.
On the bright side, this means that we can in fact have our Halloween dungeon during Halloween weekend! Yay! Spoop. Other previously discussed calendar matters - namely, the lighter December dungeon catching the IC calendar up a bit more with the OOC calendar - are still going forward as planned. As before, the schedule is currently updated to the end of the year - helpfully, the last AC check of the year now falls on December 31st!
A list of start dates for the next group of dungeons/application openings;
- JULY 20TH
- SEPTEMBER 7TH
- OCTOBER 26TH
- DECEMBER 14TH
THE NEXT DUNGEON WILL BE... decided based upon an
IC poll that will be posted along with the IC intro on Monday. As far as OOC concerns, without giving too much away - the first dungeon option will be
resource heavy and effects-on-characters light, allowing everyone a bit of a breather after a heavy-hitting dungeon and a transformational dungeon. The second option... Not so much, and will likely be a high-stress dungeon for a lot of characters. Whichever dungeon is
not chosen will be the following expedition.
[S] END OF ACT ONE: The aforementioned two dungeons will wrap up the first phase of our metaplot! Expect to see some new plot elements - and perhaps some new faces - going forward. We're almost at the one third point of the overall planned plot, but of course, anything and everything is subject to change until we get there, based on your feedback and IC actions!
STATION UPDATES: The
Annex page has been updated with two new areas! One is the long-promised AV room - new home of the DDR machine - and the other is a special surprise brought to you by the hard work of Team Stay-At-Home!
Permissions post round-up: If you have a required opt-in/out permissions post for your characters' powers, please make sure to drop it under the appropriate comment header below! Existing characters' permissions are already linked there, for your convenience.
Anything else?: As usual, the questions and feedback header is here for you!
