OOC INTRO - DEC 2018

Hello, and welcome to the OOC Intro for Phantasmal Rift! This post also serves as a CR meme for existing players and new!

Due to the unusual format of this month's dungeon and its extended length, the official IC intro won't be until the first week of January. The usual state-of-the-game update will also be at that time. In the meanwhile, new players can tag into either the first or second part of the dungeon log as they please! (You can also continue tagging your test drive threads, or move them over, as you desire.)

(And yes, you get loot for any further comments you leave on the dungeon log, up to a max of five, same as in-game players. Any loot earned thusly will be appended to the sign-ups under a header with your character's journal name.)

As a reminder, all players get a free pass for activity check this month, so that you can have a relaxing holiday season here at Phantasmal Rift! Points will be tallied as normal on January 7th and posted with the State of the Game update, the in-game weather, and the teaser for the next dungeon at that time. Happy Holidays!

Who are you? Eternally sleepy lady who wishes there were more hours in the day. Also a token Australian so on at odd hours compared to some.

What's their deal? Shitchild who is rude as hell from time to time and bored as hell from time to time. Currently spending more time being Bored due to all this down time they get. What is having a hobby.
Plotting: Nothing definite right now, mostly just rolling along. He isn't sure what to do with all this time they have between Fissure excursions and is starting to wonder what exactly to do when he can't train any further.

Permissions: Doesn't have one
What's their deal?: Standard Persona protagonist who Must Help Everyone while also insisting that She Is Fine. Currently a little quieter than usual, but she's determined to pull herself together and start working on helping people again.
Plotting: Nothing planned, though I am always open for things

Mogget

Permissions: Magic and Death sensing along with basic permissions.
What's their deal?: Old Man Cat is way too old and tired to deal with anything. Or so he says anyway. In reality is a stupidly powerful Free Magic creature who is bound to the Abhorsen's bloodline. Mostly just wants to relax and eat fish. Will poke into things though that he probably shouldn't, because he's a cat.
Plotting: I am open to anything, and don't have any solid plans right now. Mogget is going to work out what's going on and who is the best for feeding a poor starving cat who doesn't actually need to eat and then probably bum around investigating interesting people.

Samata doesn't have a particularly strong magical aura. What she DOES have is a pair of glasses that let her see magic flowing through the atmosphere and how it interacts with living things.

I haven't read those book in a while, but I kinda feel like if she looked at Mogget she might be temporarily blinded.

Y e p she would be absolutely blinded for a little bit XD Mogget is one of the nine most powerful Free Magic creatures to ever have existed in the Old Kingdom, so he is hella bright even while he's bound.

In the event she actually manages to see anything before being blinded, she'd probably also notice that his collar is nearly as bright as he is and is deliberately restricting his powers.

Unlikely she could pick up that level of detail among that much magic radiation but she would definitely give Mogget all due deference afterwards.

Until he annoys her. Samata can't stop herself. When she gets angry, she starts yelling at people.

...given that it's Mogget, this is entirely likely to happen. Because he's Mogget, and sometimes he's a sly little shit. But he might end up liking her and not. We shall see :3

Yelling wouldn't bother him anyway. He's too old to care about your loud noises.
