OOC INTRO - DEC 2018
Hello, and welcome to the OOC Intro for Phantasmal Rift! This post also serves as a CR meme for existing players and new!
Due to the unusual format of this month's dungeon and its extended length, the official IC intro won't be until the first week of January. The usual state-of-the-game update will also be at that time. In the meanwhile, new players can tag into either the first or second part of the dungeon log as they please! (You can also continue tagging your test drive threads, or move them over, as you desire.)
(And yes, you get loot for any further comments you leave on the dungeon log, up to a max of five, same as in-game players. Any loot earned thusly will be appended to the sign-ups under a header with your character's journal name.)
As a reminder, all players get a free pass for activity check this month, so that you can have a relaxing holiday season here at Phantasmal Rift! Points will be tallied as normal on January 7th and posted with the State of the Game update, the in-game weather, and the teaser for the next dungeon at that time. Happy Holidays!

What's their deal?: Optimistic and curious warrior monk travels the post-apocalyptic wastelands of 22nd century China and guilt trips/punches everyone around her until they stop being so mean.
Plotting: Playing things by ear with Lin. I dunno what I'm doing with her right now. I mentioned I was tired right?

What's their deal?: In D&D, sorcerers have an instinctive and intuitive understanding of how to use the magic in their blood, while wizards learn magic through study, experimentation, and observation. That means that wizardry is a learnable skill. That means that someone had to INVENT it.
In Samata's world. It was her.
Plotting: Samata keeps an eye on people around her to make sure she has some kind of idea what she can do. She also makes magic items, if paid in some form or another. She's also working on building an upgraded version of her prosthetic arm that has five fingers and can actually feel temperature, but she's not there yet. If your character is a magic nerd you should definitely talk to her.
She can be a bit...prickly. Fair warning.
