DUNGEON SIGN-UPS: AMESTA FOREST

LET THE SIGN-UPS BEGIN.
AMESTA FOREST
A sprawling deciduous forest to the southwest of the Station, just far enough inland that it's not deeply troubled by the ocean air. Though it seems perfectly normal from the outside, entering beneath the cover of the trees transports you to an eternal spring evening, suspended in twilight and shrouded in silver mist.
There are a total of seven regions to be explored in this Fissure, because we're overachievers I guess.
Roughly straight west of the forest, beneath the spread of the Tree, is a large lake also shrouded in mist. Beyond it can sometimes be seen the flicker of lights... Perhaps a city? Between the mist and the distance, it's impossible to tell.
More details on these locations, as well as a map, will come with the dungeon log proper!
DUNGEON-WIDE EFFECTS
There are two dungeon-wide effects in Amesta Forest, which are very much related;
The first is that characters within the frozen time of the forest will have no need to sleep. While it's still possible to fall victim to magical sleep effects or other things that unnaturally induce unconsciousness, even those who try to exhaust themselves in ways that would normally send them straight to bed will find dreams escaping them...
...Quite literally, as that is the second effect of the Fissure. The silver mist that hangs thick throughout the forest catches impressions from the subconscious of anyone who stays in one place for too long. In Amesta Forest, your dreams are made manifest - for better or for worse. The mist-forms are not dangerous - at least, not physically - and even the most nightmarish leave behind only the dampness of mist instead of injuries, but that doesn't go very far to make them less troubling.
LOOT
Introducing a new feature on the dungeon information page - Resources! These entries will give you more details about the kinds of Sweet Magical Items you can collect within the Fissures without a loot roll.
As before, characters obtain one piece of loot for signing up for the dungeon and an additional roll per 15 comments on the dungeon log. Additionally, characters can receive a bonus loot roll for tagging someone new on the Test Drive!
IC LENGTH
The IC length of the dungeon will be five days, due to the larger area covered compared to the shoreline! The IC dates will be April 13-18, and as before, the IC date will be noted on Sundays on the calendar going forward!
END-DUNGEON EVENT
The end-of-dungeon event will be the revealing of the final mystery area (as noted above), as well as that area's NPC! There will be a top-level for the entire area, and characters are encouraged to have their own sub-top-levels to mingle, in addition to NPC interactions.
SIGN-UPS
Dungeon sign-ups are used by the mods to manage loot drops. Occasionally, there may be additional information requested by the sign-up, such as opt-in for specific aspects of the dungeon. After sign-ups close, the header comment is frozen until the time comes to distribute loot.

EVERYTHING ELSE
BOOKS, BOOKS, BOOKS: As the Library won the poll on the previous OOC update, that's what you'll be getting first! The week before the dungeon, the unused Lab #6 will be opened and revealed in its full glory... Dusty glory, that is. The androids have apparently just been using this to store all of the books they come across in boxes, and so it's a total mess! Characters are welcome to pick up any reading material they please, and Strange and Down would certainly appreciate any assistance you might offer in organizing... Don't worry, this isn't the library's permanent home.
What's that sound?: The noises outside the station walls continue, though they've lessened significantly compared to the previous few weeks. Occasionally, Top and Up can be seen coming back from the source of the noise, both covered in dust and looking exhausted but pleased. Strange also vanishes off in this direction occasionally, usually in the middle of the night (when they can leave the medical lab under Jetshard's care).
What's cooking?: Is there anything in particular that you'd like to see in the kitchens next food update? Please leave it under the header comment below! Note that not all suggestions will be used at this time; they may be added later or not at all, at mod discretion.
And now, the weather;

Though it seems perfectly normal from the outside, entering beneath the cover of the trees transports you to an eternal spring evening, suspended in twilight and shrouded in silver mist.
There are a total of seven regions to be explored in this Fissure, because we're overachievers I guess.
- The Fringes - The outer edges of the forest, where the magic of the Fissure is not so thick. It seems to be relatively normal... Except, you're sure that that tree wasn't there a minute ago, was it?
- Silvermist Hollow - A series of clearings with extremely thick mist, almost solid enough to touch even before it takes shape. Eerily quiet, and filled with the tracks of animals.
- Blossomgale - An area filled with massive flowers, ranging from their typical sizes to towering overhead with heavy blooms.
- Fall's Heart - Unlike the spring enjoyed by the rest of the forest, this area is shrouded in eternal autumn. Brilliantly covered leaves flutter through the air and pile around mirror-like pools.
- The Infinity Tree - A massive willow, not-quite-miles-high, on the banks of the lake that forms the far border of the forest. Consists of two separate areas - the damp Roots and the higher Branches.
- ... And a surprise! The final area will be revealed the last weekend of the dungeon log, but it is in the upper reaches of the Infinity Tree.
Roughly straight west of the forest, beneath the spread of the Tree, is a large lake also shrouded in mist. Beyond it can sometimes be seen the flicker of lights... Perhaps a city? Between the mist and the distance, it's impossible to tell.
